Time to let Buford T go. He's served me well the last year and a half, but yesterday the transmission ate it.
It is a great car, other than the trans being fragged. The engine runs like a top and it was my daily driver until yesterday morning.
Within the last two years it has had:
New belts
New manifold/intake/TB gaskets
New steel coolant fitting in intake to replace plastic piece
New water pump
New timing belt
New plugs/wires
The good:
The supercharged 3.8L runs great, runs strong, rides very nice. Interior is almost perfect and in very nice shape. Every option, sunroof, leather, dual climate controls, heated seats, etc. It is like a living room on wheels.
The bad:
The paint isn't all that good. There are little scratches over the whole car and the clear is peeling in one spot. Might be able to be buffed and fixed up, but it never really bothered me to the point I needed to fix it.
The tires need replacing. Fronts are going bald and backs look a little weathered.
Obviously, it needs a transmission.
Car has 124k miles on it. I paid $3k for the car with 110k a year and a half ago, so this hurts to sell it for this price.
