I have an original 1964 Buick Wildcat 2 Door Hardtop Sports Coupe. To the best of my knowledge I am the third owner, and, I have owned the car since 1999. I originally purchased it in NY and it has traveled with me through moves from NY to FL and currently resides in NC. She runs very smoothly and is a looker also – however, she is original condition and would make a great candidate for restoration. The odometer reads 46k but I can not verify if it has flipped since it does not have the 6 digit – but judging by the way she runs and the condition of the interior, I would not be surprised if that is all the miles she has on her. The paint is starting to show its age (looks like the truck was re-sprayed at some point before I owned it). The rear driver side quarter panel is faded and has some surface rust below the gas spout. Also, there is some rusting occurring under the canvas top where it meets the rear quarter panel. For the most part, a new paint and some minor body work would make her perfect. The interior is in beautiful condition as you can see in the pictures. I have the original owner’s manual and shop manuals to assist you in your restoration efforts (with diagrams, pictures, and parts #).
Anyone who has experience with classic cars knows how difficult it is to price these things. I have approximately $5500 invested into this vehicle and would like to retrieve most, if not all, of that cost (includes the purchase price (bought in 1999), carburetor rebuild (in 2004), radial tires to replace inner tube tires (Approx 1500 miles on them), and a new battery (2 months ago). I have a lot of great memories tied to this car but have recently purchased a 1955 Ford Fairlane and my wife won’t let me keep both of them – happy wife = happy life. Please come by and check her out. I’m located in Morganton, NC and can be reached on my cell at anytime 828-390-5001 (please leave a message if I don’t answer) or by email pugsly1479@aol.com. Come take a look and make me an offer – anything reasonable will be strongly considered. Thanks for your interest and hope you enjoy her as much as I do. Best wishes, Michael Stern
