1956 Buick “Special”
V8 –322 “Nailhead” standard “Three on the tree.”
4 door post “40 series” 72,000 original miles. In 1956 only15,132 Buick Specials were produced, only 937 were standard “three on the tree.” Out of that only 28 remain registered in the USA (Buick Club of Oxnard). This is a daily driver, like all things old it still needs work. I am the 3rd owner. The second owner bought it in 1982 and stored it. In 1997 he painted it black and white, and did the interior at the same time. It was stored again till early 2007. I bought it and brought it home to make it road worthy once again. Most of my improvements are listed below.
· New whitewall tires, bought per original specs.
· New brakes inc. master cyl. 100% per original specs.
· New cooling system, all original.
· New tune up 100% original parts (complete).
· 2 barrel Carter carb. Sent out for rebuild per original specs.
· Original gas tank stripped and re-galvanized (6 times).
New oem windshield wiper motor.
I have used only original materials in my efforts. Unfortunately the second owner changed the paint, and interior from green to what it is now. All the doors, fenders, chrome, and windows are original, as far as I can tell.

This car is a daily driver, I drive to work and the store on a regular basis. I think it would drive across country, but I havn't had the need to yet. Thanks for looking, Robert.
