03/17/08 UPDATE: DISREGUARD CURRENT BID/PRICE!!! THIS PERSON BACKED OUT! IF INTERESTED SEND YOUR BID NO MATTER WHAT. Let's try this again. Hickory NC area. Up for grabs is a '65 Gran Sport with, correct LR code 401cid / 325 hp / 445 ftlb torque / 10.25 comp. "nailhead" engine. Yes, it does have the GS "header" style exhaust manifolds, A-body oil pan, HD Harrison radiator, Turbine 300 trans with console & shifter, P/S, P/B, 3.08 posi, HD suspension and brakes, "boxed" convertible chassis and available NC title. The front half of the car is very reasonable for a 44 yr. old car. Straight with some rust bubbles. The rear quarters, trunk, some floorboards, are rusted thru in places because someone dishonored my car by breaking out the glass (kids). Good bumpers, trim, and emblems. Interior upholstery is shot, but hardware is still there. I started out asking more than I'm asking now, but this is going to be a "bid / offer" sale also. I would like to have at least a "Grand" ($1000) for this Gran Sport. The engine and front end should be worth at least that much. If there is little interested in this car, I will break it down and sell it as parts. So be thinking of what would be a better deal. SO, WHAT'S YOUR OFFER? I will keep interested parties up to date as to the status of the sale process. I will end this sale process in forty-five days. If the whole car does not sell, I will take the names of those who want parts and will make contact with them and discuss their parts needs and price. 65 badcat.. this is the first time that i have been able to see your message. there has been someone or something screwin' with my ad or i'm not using it to my best advantage. The ad / auction doesn't end till saturday and the high bidder backed out, so it is not SOLD yet!! In answer to hour question... No it does not have tilt steering column. thanks anything else you might be interest in from the car? robert
