It was running and road worthy until 2007 when the primary owner was no longer able to maintain it. The body is solid and would be perfect for restoration. It includes the LT package and was well maintained throughout its history.

Posted by: ConwayTwitty

Description: Up for your consideration, I have a true survivor 1979 Buick Electra Limited. The Limited was the top of the line model for Buick and this car shows it.

More Photos are Available at this link: http://photobucket.com/CaledoniaCustoms

The exterior is in great shape. The paint has great shine and it cleans up very nicely. There is some loss in spots and one rust hole in the passenger door. There is also a ding on the front passenger fender which is hardly noticeable. The vinyl top is in great shape. The glass is in great shape. The rear glass is plexiglass, however. I do have a quote for new glass and/or replacement, which I will include with the car. The passenger mirror is broken off. A Chevrolet Caprice mirror will also work as they are identical. For a new replacement, it is about 20 dollars. Chrome is in great shape. The lights work. 3rd brake lite works, but is currently burned out. The car is about a 10 footer overall. I get compliments on it all the time.

Mechanically, the car runs like a top. It has a 5.7 liter 350 with a Rochester Quadrajet Carb. The car has only 90,000 original miles. Most of these have only been put on recently. According to my paperwork, the car only had 30,000 miles on it in 1997. It has a fresh thermostat in it. It hasn't needed much else. It's just a great runner and has been well maintained all its life. I have quite a bit of paperwork on the car. It is a Wisconsin car, which was obviously garaged. The undercarriage is impressively clean. The floorboards are still black and the frame is solid and clean. It was purchased in Janesville in 1979 and all the paperwork is in the glovebox. It also has a clear title.

The interior is in superb condition. The seats have no rips or tears, the carpets are in great shape. The headliner is in great shape, but sagging, as all GM's from this era do. The dash has no cracks and the interior trim is all in wonderful condition. The interior looks as if it was never used. The window switches work great and the windows roll up and down very quickly. Even the cigarette lighters in the rear doors work. The ashtray is missing and the radio is disconnected as the previous owner had a CD player mounted under-dash.

-Power Windows

-Power Locks

-Power Seat

-Power Trunk Latch

-Passenger Vanity Mirror w/ Lites in visor

-PS/PB

-Air Conditioning (Needs Recharge)

-New Thermostat

-New Exhaust

The underside is also very clean. The floor pans even still have black paint on them. The frame is very solid, the axle, driveshaft, and everything underneath is clean, and above average for a 79.
The car has been very well taken care of and I know the past two owners. I bought it from my best friend who I helped maintain the car and the owner before him is a mechanic. If there are any further questions that you would like to know, feel free to e-mail me. The only reason I am selling is because it is time for a new daily driver and I would not want to drive this car in the salt and rot out such a solid ride.

Sold as is due to its age. If you have any questions, feel free to call me, Tom, at (608)617-1134.

Thanks for looking!

The odometer says 90,000 and I don't think that it has rolled over. It has a very strong Buick 350 and 400 Turbo transmission. The interior is very nice and plush, light green. It has all the options-- factory AC, working power windows and locks, working AM/FM radio, rear window defrost, and more. The paint is a bit rough, but only surface rust. This would make a good driver, and it has current registration and can be test driven anytime.

I have a 455 buick engine that needs rebuilt, and the 400 auto trans that go with it. I hope some one will biuld this, it's in really good shape, just have too many other projects. Has an aftermarket Crane cam, oil cooler, additional electric cooling fan on radiator (not hooked up), Auto Meter gauges, Mallory distributor and box, NEW rear tires, Tinted windows, dual exhaust.

Car is COMPLETE, original ram air cleaner is there, ALL stainless trim is there even though not on car (as I was stripping the old original cracked paint down to repaint), original rubber floor matting (never had carpet) bench seats with column shift.

Body is in really great shape for its unrestored age, no major rust or dents, floors are solid and with even little to no surface rust, frame is nice not rotted and has little to no surface rust, just finish sanding primer imperfections and paint, car originally from California and shows. Currently painted flat black to prevent rust.

Starts right up, runs and drives fine. Of coarse like any old car it needs a little work, but A- Body muscle car prices are up there now and I am asking less than some do for cars that are practically parts cars or are missing a lot of original expensive to replace items. Some extra parts come with car.

NO TRADES, have too many projects already and just want to sell it.

Price: $3950.00

Car runs strong and smooth. I bought this car when I was 17 and was my daily driver for a couple years I'm now 22 and recently married I hate to see it go but can't afford it. Truly a great car for the price if you're anywhere near southwest Missouri you should come see it. Please feel free to ask any questions. This is 1970 Buick Skylark. This is truely a beautiful classic muscle car. This vehicle has been partially restored and can easily become a muscle car street rod or numbers matching classic showroom car. I bought the car 3 yrs ago with the idea of restoring and using it to cruise the roads on the weekends and possibily take to the car shows. This car is SUPER torquy and SUPER fast. When i bought the car, these were the things that were done: it had very, very little rust, underbody was rust free, it had new disc brakes and it had a 455 Pontiac engine installed. Since i had the vehicle, it has been about a 2 yrs restoration process.

THIS IS WHAT THE CAR HAS NOW...

MECHANICS: numbers matching 1970 455 buick engine, 400 transmission, new front and posi rear end, new radiator and resevoir, new steering pump, torque convertor, brand new oil pan & pump, new u joints, yoke, driveshaft redone, brand new water pump, brand new interstate battery, original valve cover gaskets i have chrome Edelbrock valve covers that will come with car. new fan and shift cables to BM shifter and new belts. New duel flow master exhaust, 2 1/2 inch pipes, new catalytic convertor. SUSPENSION TOTALLY REDONE, new rocker arms, bushings, gas shocks, sway bar, springs. Spark plug and wires are new. The car comes with 2 carb. the original 4 barrel also an 800 CFM Edelbrock carburator. New road huggers rear tires, 2 new front tires as well. New oil and fuel filters... LOTS, LOTS MORE.... COMPLETELY REDONE!!!!!. Over $4,000 in receipts will come with the car, also will put in touch with the mechanic to talk about the project.

INTERIOR: This car has a great interior, almost flawless. the only 2 things left to be done in the interior are, the back seat needs to be redone. Presently has a cover and there is a little wear on the top of the dash. NOW IT HAS: a original steering wheel in great condition, original speedometer in working condition, all lights on the interior working. Front seat has been restored, flawless condition, very little wear(if any) on the interior doors, new head liner, carpeting in great condition, 2 directional sound speakers in the rear, 2 Jensen speakers in the front, New Alpine radio which may or may not come with the car(depending on bid) no cuts where made to install system.

ADD ON'S: Sunpro gauges, BM shifter, volts, water, oil pressure, as well as tach. there are 2 kill switches, one in the interior and one under the hood. all books and parts catalogs will come with car.

EXTERIOR: No underbody rust, solid frame, cowl hood, paint is fare( orange with white racing stripes) there is some rust on the bumper and fender(extra bumper will come with auction). Also very little surface rusting on the trunk. New weather stripping, all windows, doors, lock in great condition, work like new.

EXTRAS: As i said, extra bumper, oil pan , carburator, power steering hose, 2 extra rear tires, some miscellanious suspension parts that weren't needed. MSD ignition. For anyone looking to make this a GS or GSX clone i have stickers and emblems.

THIS IS TRULY A GREAT, GREAT VEHICLE. I am buying a house and the wife is making me sell my toys. My lost is another gain.

WILL SELL ONLY TO SOMEONE WHO WILL TAKE CARE OF THE VEHICLE AND PLANS TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND FINISHING RESTORING THIS CLASSIC BEAUTY.

Car drives super smooth and tight, currently inspected/tagged in DE and driven daily so milage is subject to change. Missing rear valance. Top end has just been totally rebuilt by Alderman Nissan- one of the best performance machine shops in the area. Reassembled with all felpro gaskets. Tons of new parts, brakes, master cylinder, heater core, plugs, wires, filters, etc.. Four barrel intake added when top end was done, along with rebuilt quadrajet. Original intake and carb(2 Bbl) are included with the car. My brother-in-law bought the car a couple years ago, drove it for a while, started all the work, and realized he had gotten himself in a little over his head. I stepped in to help him out, so now I have a super cool car that doesn't fit my lifestyle at all. Needless to say I am a motivated seller, I'd also consider trades for a worktruck or pickup.
Edit: If you have any questions about the car or if you're just nearby and wanna come over and take it out for a spin-email me directly at XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Price: $3000.00

Posted by: Critchie

Description: Hello fellow buick enthusiasts, the car in question is a 1972 buick centurion, complete with black vinyl top and black vinyl interior. the car itself is burgandy in colour but was originally white. it is powered by the revered buick 455 big block and 4 barrel carburator. it has factory dual exhaust and is backed by a th400 automatic and 2.56:1 posi-trac rear end. the engine runs amazingly well and the tranny shifts beautifully.

as you well know, the car is one of 2359 ever produced in north america in 1972, that is TOTAL production numbers. I am not sure how many were offerered with the 455/4bbl/th400 package with factory dual exhaust. but i can guarantee less than 2359, and even fewer came to canada.

This car is however by no means perfect, the floors are very solid and the front 3 quarters of the car are essentially rust free. the problem areas are the trunk and drivers side rear quarter and too a lesser extent the passenger side rear quarter, they have been bondoed over and painted by the previous owner, i wish he had fixed it properly but such is life. these areas are shown in the included pictures. it has a new vinyl top installed but it could use some adjustment and new tack strips. it also has new weatherstripping all around. and numerous new parts under the hood. any questions can be quickly and easily answered just shoot me an email and i wil get on it asap.

More pictures are available upon request. I do realize I have just recently registered on this board but i thought what better place to sell my classic buick than a classic buick forum. I have however been selling and buying parts and cars online for a long time and have a good reputation in the toyota mr2 world.

This was my first car and i hate to see it go but financial situations have led to its demise as another one of my project vehicles. the garage is full and this one takes up the most space, id love to see it go to a good home and to someone who can give it the full restoration it deserves.

my asking price is $3000 canadian dollar *edit* price lowered to $2500

car sold after vandalism, kids keyed it up and smashed quarter window, tore up top. thanks for any interest
